Italian Bottle Night｜A Wine Tasting Night Filled with Warmth and Surprises

On the evening of 5 September, Extravelism hosted its first wine tasting event, Italian Bottle Night. We would like to thank every guest who joined us and made the evening so warm, engaging and full of delightful surprises. Surrounded by fine wine and lively conversation, everyone came together for a memorable night dedicated to the world of Italian wines.

We were honoured to welcome leading figures from various sectors and companies, and especially pleased to have Mr John Tsang, former Financial Secretary, join us in person and add a special touch to the evening. Mr Tsang also shared his appreciation for Italian wine culture and took part in the conversations with guests, adding warmth and depth to the atmosphere.

The tasting session was expertly guided by wine critic Ronny Lau, who introduced a selection of classic wines from Piemonte in a thoughtful and engaging way. First was Barolo, made from the Nebbiolo grape and often regarded as the “King of Wines”. With age, it develops remarkable depth and elegance, releasing an enchanting white truffle aroma that reflects its noble character. Alongside it, Barbaresco offered a more refined and graceful expression, making the pair an ideal introduction to the richness and diversity of Italian wine.

More than just a tasting, the evening was a chance to explore Italian wine culture, share experiences and build meaningful connections. Once again, we sincerely thank all our guests for their support, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to more inspiring journeys and exceptional wine experiences ahead.
